As already advised in the parish magazine, the historic Cross, parts of which originally date from the fifteenth century, is owned by the parish council and it is in dire need of repair. Specialist contractors, Cliveden Conservation, will erect scaffolding starting on Tuesday 1st July and undertake repairs which will take about two weeks. As part of the process the ornate carved top will need to removed and hopefully it will be in a good enough state to return to its position at the end of renovation. The parish council has been authorised to use historic reserves for this work given its essential nature to an important village asset.
